These are the books I am planning to read in April:
- The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden by Jonas Jonasson.
Everyone who has seen a few of my videos has heard me rave about The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared: I even did a special book-to-film review on it. This book is by the same author, and I am very excited. Minor pet peeve: my copy of The Girl is from a different publisher, so it has a slighty different size from The Hundred-Year-Old Man. - Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.
My flatmate owns this book and I've wanted to read it ever since I saw the film, which came out in 2010. Recently, my sister asked me to write a book recommendation / review article for her school newspaper, and I wanted this book to be featured in the article. - The Sleeper and the Spindle by Neil Gaiman.
I've had this book on my shelf for a while (it featured in my February book haul video), but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. This is about to change! I'm very excited - I love fairytales and fairytale retellings, I love Neil Gaiman's work and I love what I've seen of Chris Riddell's illustrations. I've also heard good things about this book! - The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton.
Finally, I would like to read The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton. I showed this book in the same haul video, but haven't really been in the mood to read it yet. To be honest, I mostly bought it because it's set in the Netherlands, and now I don't really know what to expect. I've heard positive reviews, though, so I'm sure it'll be fine.
