I'm actually already well on my way to 300 subscribers, so I need to start coming up with a something new I can do when I reach that number; my plan is to do something fun for every 100 subscribers I gain. I'm thinking maybe a Q&A, but then again, that might be a little pretentious at this stage of my Youtube career. Any thoughts? Let me know in the comments section.
It's been a long time coming (three weeks, to be exact), but today I was finally able to announce the winner of the giveaway I hosted in honour of reaching 200 subscribers. I was a little anxious about having to disappoint so many people (something I didn't necessarily anticipate, even though I maybe should have), but on the other hand, I did really enjoy hosting the giveaway.

A while ago, I watched this great video by Sanne from booksandquills, who is one of the first people I discovered when I started getting into booktube. Her video reminded me of a Buzzfeed post I'd seen before, and inspired me to make my own video dedicated to dedications. I actually had a lot of fun going through my book collection looking for great dedications; it was a bit like a scavenger hunt. I'm quite happy with the ones I found: the dedication to Lucy Barfield in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis is still my favourite, but I also really loved the little poem I found in The World of Pooh by A.A. Milne. Watch the video to find out what it was. Or read the book, of course. ;)
Remember Daphne? We did the First Sentence Challenge together and she also featured heavily in my latest blooper reel (mostly because she is hilarious). Well, anyway, Daphne created her very own book tag a couple of months ago, based around actor Luke Evans. She tagged me in it, and I didn't get around to actually making the video for the longest time, but now it's up! I had a great time coming up with books for this video, so I hope you enjoy watching it. Please don't forget to check out Daphne's original video in which she explains how all the prompts relate to Luke Evans.
I've been a member of the Top 5 Wednesdays group on Goodreads for a while, but I never got round to making a T5W video. However, when I saw this prompt, I changed my entire video planning around, because I really wanted to make this one. Even though there were some habits that I couldn't include (such as drumming on the book with my fingers while I'm reading), I feel like this video turned out really well! My mother even took the time to compliment me on this one specifically. ;)
It's been a while since I've updated this website (again). Oops. Anyway, a while ago I was finally able to film my first unboxing video! I'd ordered three books off of bol.com (they had a 3 for 25 deal on, and I managed to save over € 10,-!), which arrived the next day. Unfortunately, the three books that I ordered off of the Book Depository website took much longer to arrive, but in the end I got all of them.
The books:
I recently reached 200 subscribers! *initiate small dance party*
In order to celebrate this, I put up some bloopers of my First Sentence Challenge with Daphne. And in order to say 'thank you' to my subscribers, I am hosting a giveaway! Check out the video for the announcement, and the video description for the rules and way to enter. Also! Don't forget to subscribe to Daphne's channel, because as you can see she is absolutely hilarious. It's Wednesday, which means I have a new video up! It's also the first video day of the month, which means it's a wrap-up. I managed to read a grand total of nine books in February, four of which were over 500 pages! I'm not trying to brag or anything, I was just a little surprised by myself.
If you have a TBR for March planned, let me know what it is in the comments of the video! A while ago, I went to the American Book Center in The Hague with my sister, and I bought a bunch of books. I have been waiting for ages to show you guys! Among the books that I bought is The Bookshop Book by Jen Campbell (who also has a booktube channel). I'm very excited about that one, seeing as I love bookshops (and I also think that all booktubers should support each other!) Another book that I got is The Sleeper and the Spindle by Neil Gaiman (illustrations by Chris Riddell), and as you can see from the slightly maniacal eyes in the thumbnail, I am really excited to finally have it. This is one of the books that I wanted to own so badly, and I can hardly believe it's actually right here in my room right now!
I hope you enjoy my video. Please feel free to comment on any of the books that I mention! I completely forgot to make a post about this (still getting the hang of this 'running a website' thing), but here it is. I participated in the #projectTBR read-a-thon, hosted by Benjaminoftomes, and I read almost four books!
